Hi everyone, the cold weather is really setting in on the south coast of England here. Hope you are all able to keep warm. I know it may not be as desperate as other places, so for all those battling the elements ‘hang in there’.
I wanted to let you know of my latest post on Fiction.Non Fiction.
I thought it might get you going, get the blood pumping and help towards keeping you warm.
I saw a really interesting report on a well-known website. It resonated with me as someone starting out as a freelance writer and trying to make a few pennies to keep the wolves from the door.
I’ve written it to open up a conversation on the subject and hopefully it will cause many others to share their experience and fill a huge gap in the market.
I’d love to hear your opinions.

It has been such a long time since I have written anything on here. For those that kept up to steam with my posts on BiteSize Writings you’ll know why.
Well, I am glad to say that I have trudged through the last three months and a bit to a point where I am ready to get back on the wagon. However, this time I will be getting back on under a different name.
BiteSize Writings has been replaced with Fiction.Non Fiction.
My new site has still got some of my favourite posts from the old site. Yet, from tomorrow I will be posting to my new one. However, due to some hasty decisions back at the time when I changed from ShortInsight to BiteSize Writings I am not able to transfer those that have kindly followed me.
Therefore, I am shamelessly using this platform to plug my new site Fiction.Non Fiction
I would so love for you to come along in this next chapter. Just briefly, in the past three months my whole world has been turned upside down. I have had to leave a place that I called home and stopped doing something that i loved to do. Thus, I am now trying to do something else that I love which is to write stories that resonate with people. I have begun a life of freelance writing submitting to magazines via Duotrope and also looking for stable clients on content mills as a very temporary makeshift.
So, please join me for my first post tomorrow. I have embedded a WordPress follow button to make it easy for you.
Please forgive the plug, but I wanted to let those that know me where they could find me.
Have a great evening.
Sometimes the word ‘classic’ is often misused as is the word ‘legend’. Maybe, someone reads what is genuinely a great book or watches a highly dramatic and entertaining movie. They plaster all over social media that the book or movie are a ‘classic’. The word legend is misused when describing what are great sports stars, but fall well short of being a legend.
So, you won’t mind if I write classic and ‘The Wizard of Oz’ in the same sentence? That film is a classic in so many ways. Wouldn’t you agree?
Well, today I have written a post which in part highlights, Yellow Brick Roads, Lions, Scarecrows and a Tin Man. Do you remember what they were all looking for? If so, what do they have to do with someone that’s trying to become a freelance writer? Click here for the post
I hope you’ll have a read, and leave me a comment or a like. Much appreciated.
I also forgot to post on here my Friday’s Favourites No4. Had some great feedback, and it seems that a lot have enjoyed the posts. So have a read, like and follow other great writers like yourselves.
One of the main things I missed when I lived in Asia, is that they don’t have the 4 seasons. Instead, they have a wet and dry season. Both seasons are hot, one of them brings more rain which makes the whole country like a sauna. The changes of the season bring about different emotions and feeling. One season will spur us on to activity like a bright, sunny day. The opposite can make us like a family of hedgehogs who retreat to their home, and sit it out. Normally leading to a feeling of discontent.
Other changes are not so apparent. Today my post, How Do You Measure Change? gives an insightful flash fiction story of less than a 100 words. Hope you’ll pass by and let me know what you think.
Have a great evening.
Yes, I know it’s been a while since I visited. Want to know why?
Well, I’ve posted a #motivationmonday post for everyone. It brings everyone up to date with what’s been happening in the evolution of BiteSize Writings. Please take a look, and let me know what you think.
I’ve also updated my About page to be more in line with where I hope to take my blog.
Thanks for your continued support and encouragement.

BiteSize Writings About Page
Hi everyone, I trust the weekend has been as enjoyable and fulfilling as you hoped.
I am well chuffed to be able to share with you Chapter 2 of my 3 Chapter short story.
It’s a week late, but I’ve had a life-changing week last week which completely took the wind out of my sails. So I wasn’t able to meet my deadline.
Anyway, I am pleased to give you Atopic Chapter 2.
I would love it if you could not only have a read but please as honestly as you can let me know what you think. I know sometimes it’s really hard to tell someone that it’s boring, disjointed or rubbish. However, sometimes we need to hear those kinds of words from other respected writers in order to help us newbies grow.
So, complete honesty is much appreciated.
Have a great week!
Well, you could pour yourself your favourite drink, sit in you favourite chair wearing your favourite slippers and enjoy this week’s Friday’s Favourites.
There are some great posts this week.
