Re-launching the Recycled Book Reading Challenge!

Love to have you join in the challenge!

Hello 🙂

How is everyone today?

Today, I’m re-launching the Recycled Book Reading Challenge! I originally launched this challenge 2 years ago, and I was amazed at the results. The challenge originally ran for 1 year, but it kept going strong for at least a good 15 months! After a while, challenge posts began to dwindle down. I really love this challenge, and I want to keep it going. So…Here’s the new and improved RECYCLED BOOK READING CHALLENGE!

The ‘rules’ are simple. Mostly all of us have a bookshelf sitting there full of old favourites which are collecting dust. Do we want to read them? Of course! Do we ever? Uummmm…Nope. This challenge is designed specifically to make use of that which we already have. Free, simple, and a motivator. Here’s what you do:

  • Try to dust off an old friend and read it that month. Just 1 book.

Flabby- Assed to Fabulous with Chape! Week 2 Update

There is a networking party link at the end of this post.

Hi there 🙂

Most of you know by now that I’ve been working with my old buddy old pal David from Chape Fitness, to shed this extra winter blubber that’s been keeping me warm this year.  Things have been going great! With the daily workouts, the nutrition help & knowing that my trainer is keeping a veeerrrryyyy close eye on me – I really have no choice but to succeed. That being said, its on to the summary of my week.

I hit under 70 kgs! This was my first goal, and the most difficult thus far. But I reached it and I’m SO HAPPY! YYYAAAYYY!!! 😀 😀

This week, was the week of weight fluctuations. That’s right, you guessed it! I am losing my mind. Not a little bit either. Full on panicky emails at 6 in the morning asking David what I did wrong. To which he…

Ways to Support Your Favourite Bloggers Without Spending a Cent. Please Share! #bloggers

Greetings all 🙂

Today I would like to discuss a topic that I know has occurred to many of us, at one point or another. It’s actually something I’ve been wondering about myself for quite awhile. You see, I’ve come to realize that, although I don’t have the disposable income to purchase through affiliate links, spend 18 hours a day liking everything, or subscribe to youtube channels I don’t love – I would like to support those bloggers who I have come to know and respect here in the blogosphere. How does one do that without having any money? Easy. There are actually many different ways and all of them only require 1….maybe 2 mouse clicks and all in less than a minutes time. You CAN support your favorite bloggers without hardly any effort and absolutely no money. So what’s stopping you?

Here are a few ideas:

Requiem For a Sweater

My old friend.

How happy I was to pull you from the wardrobe today.

It was my horror to find a hole in the front of you.

We discussed sweater surgery,

but you were beyond repair.

So it was my sad news

to have to throw you in the refuse.

I will miss you my old, brown friend.

The warm embrace of your cashmere,

wrapped around me on a cold winters day.

The comfort of being stretched-out just ‘so’

as to rival the most comfy college Tee.

I will miss having a sweater that matches everything

My wardrobe ‘go-to’,

now a footnote in my style notebook.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to replace you,

my favourite cashmere sweater.

A sad day in closet land,

Amazon, WTF?! #weird

Good day 🙂

I hope you are all well!

Most of us have a habit of scrolling through the internet when we get a bit bored. My weakness is online shopping. Not just because I love to torture myself with all the beautiful things I cannot have, but because I have a true interest in the retail sector. It all began with my ultimate frustration in not being able to easily find the gorgeous design worthy items I love in 100% natural fabrics. I still have this problem, though I have managed to find a few great stores. Anywho, I digress. Because of this fixation, I actually have to spend a LOT of time scrolling, scrolling, scrolling…  I almost always share my happy finds with you guys.

I scroll through Amazon quite often. It takes awhile, but there are some really good finds there. While digging through, I come across…
