How Our Understanding of Vision Impacts our Ministry Capacity

In my work with congregations, besides stewardship programs and evangelism causing a rip in the congregational space and time continuum, talk of vision and vision planning also creates havoc. With stewardship, the issues are guilt and often a struggle with trusting God to provide. In evangelism, we feel inadequate. Believers do not feel equipped to talk about their faith with any level of confidence.

New Study On Healing Racial Divide in America

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-9720″ src=”×650.jpg” alt=”120115_204223_healing-cvr-502×650″ width=”502″ height=”650″ />

During a time in which racial tensions are escalating, Christians are searching for ways to tear down the racial walls dividing our country. The racial hurt that is being expressed today was created over the course of hundreds of years. Yet the pain today is real, and the cuts are still deep. One Nation under God: Healing Racial Divides in America is a six-session study that charts a pathway to begin that healing process. It will reinforce the understanding that healing takes time and intentional effort because forgiveness is not something humans can do on their own; it requires God changing human hearts as His people search through His Word.

One Nation under God: Healing Racial Divides in America is a downloadable PDF Bible study and will be available for purchase at

Heaven Is Community Restored

Heaven is a community of incredible, precious and eternal fellowship. 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed— 13 on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. Black Cat Blue Sea Award

It’s an honor and a privilege to be nominated for any award. I never heard of this award before, so it’s exciting to learn about something new. The Black Cat Sea Award is for bloggers who make an effort to write for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or have been blogging for years, what is important is that you inspire your readers. At the end of the day, we are all bloggers trying to share what inspires us the most. What motivates me is helping people see the love of God.

I was nominated by Amanda. She has an excellent blog and would highly recommend you check it out:

Here are your three questions and you get to nominate seven other bloggers.

My Questions:

1. If you could give a homeless person a gift, what would you give?

2. If the world ended in one week, and you could write one last letter what would it say ( Summarize in one paragraph)?

3.What means the most to you money or love?
