I spent several memorable and valuable years in Selma, Alabama, where the Selma-to-Montgomery Civil Rights march started. Where Dr. King inspired and encouraged more than 600 marchers to take their message and demands to the State Capitol despite dangerous, anguishing clashes with police, state troopers and armed deputized marshals.
I hope you enjoy this sliver of my story and my remote connection to Dr. Martin Luther King, truly a great, comassionate American hero.
