I’ve been so bombarded with life, and was convinced that 2020 stole my ability to string words together.
It appears, thankfully, that I may have been mistaken.

Happy day everybody! I would like to share my post from my bog today. This one is from the chapter about the great but complicated love of my twenties. Flowery poetry was not my thing but I couldn’t help myself. Sometimes love does that to us.

It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, pray, and think of others.
Today would you consider taking a pause for the wounded?
Many are wounded, people and animals alike. 100% why I have this blog going is mainly to bring awareness to the sad fact that there are so many “wounded” animals. Whether it is because of abuse, neglect, carelessness, or simply because people don’t see them as living, feeling beings.
Wounded obviously means more than just physical. We (& animals) are wounded inside too. Sometimes spirits are crushed, feelings are hurt, and sometimes its a mental health issue.
There is the current devastation of Hurricane Harvey. No doubt there is and will be many wounded from this, physically and emotionally. Please keep the people and animals affected by this in your prayers.
Then, there is me. (Read full post here.)
It’s Sunday! Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful things in life such as a picture of an adorable dog holding a rose in his mouth and a good poem. I happen to have both of these for you today.

Happy Sunday!

This Sunday I would like to share a poem called “Slow Dance” written by a terminally ill young girl. It is absolutely beautiful and well said. A great reminder for us all!
SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Read the rest of the poem and post here.
Happy Sunday! Remember to slow down and enjoy the day.
Good Morning-

Hi peeps,
Who among you likes prose and poetry? Whether you just enjoy reading or you’re a word twister yourself… Here is my latest entry, a very personal poem on what it seems humanity can’t get enough of… love and heartbreak.
Any feedback is welcomed and appreciated. Have a nice day, xx

Standing before my opinionated mirror, conversing,
“You are so wicked”, Mirror announces
Cutting eyes, I warn my accessory I will not hesitate to shatter him
“You are a wicked queen”, Mirror reminds
I ponder,
Yes, I have wicked symmetry to my face
Wicked curves cut my breasts, hips, thighs causing upsets
My tummy is only a bit naughty, four out of six packs
“How wicked am I?”, I ask, fishing
“Well, I watched you engineer a coup on that young man,”
“He became minion, following an impish grin”,
“Let out fiendish wails as you assaulted him”
“Wayward strands of hair tangled his speech”
“He is enslaved.”
Parting full lips, showing even teeth, a devilish smile
“Yes”, I admit, “I am a bit vicious”
“But, that young man would concur, my wicked is good.”
