I’m grateful today for God’s teachable moments

The best thing that happened to me Monday were the teachable moments God revealed to me. The biggest of which were teachable moments for my patience and my tongue and mind.

First day of school in…

First day of school in First Grade

When I picked our six-year-old granddaughter up from her first day of school in the first grade, the first words out of her mouth were, “My first day of school was GREAT!” I didn’t have to prompt her or ask, How was your first day? She offered. We usually have to pry stuff out of her.
Marie and I love the school. Her teacher is a wonderful, nurturing, loving young lady who, we could tell right away, is dedicated and energetic.
That’s yesterday’s best for me.

My closet is clean today!

I spent all day, and some of the night, cleaning out my office. That sounds like a chore, but if you knew how bad I wanted it cleaned up you’d be thrilled! Hauled out six (count ’em–6) large size trash bags and took two carloads of donations to Goodwill. I’m a happy camper!
